Welcome to my Montessori Beginnings
Nurture Their Curiosity
A Montessori playgroup for babies and toddlers from birth through age two, guided by a certified Montessori teacher in a thoughtfully prepared environment designed to engage the child in discovery.
About the Class
The young children explore the environment, practice self-feeding with a nutritious snack, then join parents for circle time that includes singing, dancing, and playing musical instruments — a gentle rhythm that invites caregivers to focus on the wonder of the young child.
The Prepared Environment
Every child is born with an internal drive to learn. Our space is a calm, neutral backdrop that lets children focus on the textures, weights, and sounds of their materials without overstimulation.
0 – 18 Months, or Until Walking
Infant Class
A calm, gentle space for our youngest explorers to build trust, strengthen developing movement, and take in the world through sight, sound, and touch.
Walking – 3 Years
Toddler Class
Confident walkers move into a more active environment with expanded practical life work, language, and movement activities that build independence.
CGMS Certified
Meet Miss Maryia
Miss Maryia (pronounced Ma-ri-a) completed The Center for Guided Montessori Studies (CGMS) Infant/Toddler Teacher Certification program. She is excited to bring a Montessori Beginnings class to her community.
In class, caregivers learn about Montessori materials and how to apply Montessori principles at home — it's also a playgroup to form connections and build community.
The Guide's Role
Miss Maryia is a quiet observer, watching closely to prepare the environment around the real needs of the children in her class. She facilitates, helping parents understand the Montessori approach and find practical ways to bring it home. Each week features a discussion on a topic in infant and toddler development, so the learning continues well beyond the classroom.
